Phlffffffffffffffffff!

Is that the sound of the raspberry?  However it looks like phonetically, I love that this is the global interpretation of yesterday’s electoral outcomes.  Undoubtedly, some British tabloid has written, “Americans Tell Bush to ‘Piss Off!'”

🙂

Ever listen to foreign coverage of our politics?  I love hearing the crisp, sophisticated BBC accent reporting live from “Columbus, Ohio.”  I love the concept of the Dems as the “opposition” party – it makes the mudslinging of the past few months sound so professional!  Although this from the country’s whose Parliament thrives on telling one another to “piss off” before having a jolly old laugh at one another’s idiocy.

I’ll tell you, being here at DUSP during this Dem sweep is a far cry from being in biz school when Bush “beat” Gore.

Oh and Rummy, don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

Over at theGarance.com she highlights this quote from yahoo news coverage of global response to this week’s elections:

“In an extraordinary joint statement, more than 200 Socialist members of the European Parliament hailed the American election results as “the beginning of the end of a six-year nightmare for the world.â€?

However, I personally favor this from an opposition lawmaker, Hafiz Hussain Ahmed, in Pakistan:

“he welcomed the election result, but was hoping for more. Bush ‘deserves to be removed, put on trial and given a Saddam-like death sentence,” he said.”
